Srinagar, March 29, 2026 — The annual Urs of the revered Sufi saint, Hazrat Sakhi Zain-ud-Din Wali Sahib of Aishmuqam, will be observed with deep devotion and religious enthusiasm at his shrines in Aishmuqam, Srigufwara, and Serbal Pahalgam in South Kashmir.
As per the announced schedule, the second night (Shab-e-Dom) of the Urs will be commemorated on 12th Shawwal, corresponding to April 1, 2026 (Wednesday). On this occasion, devotees will assemble at the shrines where Isha prayers will be offered at 10:00 PM sharp, followed by an all-night session of spiritual recitations (Shab Khwani). Other daily prayers will be conducted at their usual prescribed times.
On the following day, 13th Shawwal (April 2, 2026, Thursday), the traditional Chiraghan (illumination ceremony) and Zool rituals will be held after Maghrib prayers. The five daily prayers will continue as per their regular schedule.
Organizers have noted that the Chiraghan (traditional lighting ceremony) will take place outside the premises of the shrine, ensuring proper management and smooth conduct of the ceremony.
The Urs of Hazrat Sakhi Zain-ud-Din Wali Sahib is one of the most significant religious events in the Kashmir Valley, attracting a large number of devotees who participate in prayers and rituals to pay homage to the revered saint.
